I was born and raised in Graz, started playing the piano at age 5, switched to guitar when I was around 14. Since then, I didn't stop. I wanted to go for a professional career in cancer research at first (I have a master's degree in genetics and microbiology), but the music obviously had another plan with me, or as my teacher Mick Goodrick once told me: you don't choose music, music chooses you. So, after completing my studies at the University of Vienna, I decided to also finish musical studies at the Vienna Music Institute in performance and music education. While studying there, I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship for the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston while attending a clinic in Italy. So in 2008, I set sails to spend more than 2 years in the USA to study Guitar Performance and Jazz Composition, and it was an intense, beautiful time - it was wonderful to be surrounded by so much talent and knowledge. Currently, I am living in Vienna and working as studio/live musician, composer, arranger, studio technician and educator.
